In 2023, while wandering through Haworth in Yorkshire, England, I stumbled upon a charming little shop filled with the most beautiful homewares. Among the treasures, I discovered a box of matches adorned with a white rooster. I instantly knew I wanted to bring these delightful matches to my own shop one day to share with all of you. They’re not just practical but also fun, unique, and a bit cheeky—just like me!

Founded in 1998 by William and Sarah, Archivist began at the Natural History Museum and has grown to include their daughter Madeleine and first non-family member, Katie. Home to Britain’s largest Letterpress facility, we create high-quality cards, prints, and luxury matches, blending beauty with wit. 

These bottles are unique yet incredibly beautiful. We feature a Dalmatian, in memory of my first dog Fergus, and a robin—a symbol I hold dear, inspired by my nan. Though it’s a happy coincidence that this wonderful small company created these images, I see it as a sweet nod to what we’re building at Àine & Co, celebrating meaningful connections and thoughtful creation.

Archivist, founded in 1998 by husband and wife team William and Sarah, began its journey in the archives of the Natural History Museum. Over 20 years later, our family has grown to include our daughter, Madeleine, and our first non-family team member, Katie. We’re passionate about the art of gift-giving, blending beauty, William’s wit, and just a hint of whimsy.

With Britain’s largest Letterpress printing facility at our fingertips, we continue to create exquisite British Letterpress Cards, Prints, and luxury matches.
